“I am deeply moved by the pointed and lasting connections and impressions from the magnificence I see and feel hidden in the mundane,” Lupinacci says. His art transcends the facades and armor of the surface to illuminate, from nature and inanimate objects, the inner sanctity of the human heart. “I try to use my voice as a call to hope and courage and as a plea to celebrate our tender yet sturdy human condition.”
Collectively, the two art forms heighten one another dramatically. His art inspires viewers to pay homage to the simple and unknown, the glorious and the humble. He possesses an uncanny ability to capture poignant universal truths and present them as stirring, intimate, personal discoveries – be they in the contemplation in a soldier’s eyes, or the remnants of a lovers’ meeting from the residue in two empty espresso cups.
Bob is inspired by many sources. “I find artistic possibility in the intimate artifacts of our world. I am also inspired by believable fantasies in fashion photography and photojournalism that captures a point of view with intimacy and heart. I am inspired too, by other artists’ works in all art forms and by athletic achievement. Nature, architecture, all forms of beauty, powerful language and passionate, gifted orators speak to me.”
Bob holds a Master of Arts degree in Communications from Fairfield University and a Bachelor of Science in Media Studies from Sacred Heart University. He is also a graduate of the Hollywood Scriptwriting Institute and Writer’s Digest Courses. On the commercial side of the artistic fence, Bob won 14 Addy Awards – including three first place awards for copywriting for brochures, video scripts and ad copy. He founded and edited HairColor & Design magazine for 10 years and is now a co-founder and principal in Poetography Ink, LLC.
